Other Interchangeable
boards may not be the answer but ours is!
But here is the best way to do it=>See
our new COAF frame
1. Their Price will probably be 2 to 5 times more than our permanent
boards
2. It really is rare that hospitals want to change them. We have
sold 50,000 boards to hospitals and 98% of time, same area
replacements or add-on boards are EXACTLY the same with no changes.
3. Our surface is proven and guaranteed 20 years even with
disinfectants. Others will be destroyed. Glass will withstand
disinfectants but is not used since it must be safety glass and is
heavy. Changing inserts could be a time consuming job that
requires the maintenance department. What is used is Plexiglas with
a dry erase surface coating that will not stand up! Be sure to get
a 20 year guarantee before committing big dollars.
4. High quality custom layouts do not come with most
interchangeable units!
Cost of printed original or replacement sheets will surprise you and
can be 1/2 the cost of a new board from us. For example printing a
24x36 sheet can cost $43.50 vs. a completely new unit at $76 vs a
magnet we custom design for $44. Changing sheets will also take
manpower. Even creating the insert can require hours of graphic
artist time ($100/hour) in addition to your time and time and cost
to get it printed and cut to size.
5. Plexiglas overlay systems are harder to read due to thickness of
Plexiglas and visual parallax.
6. Use of Magnets - Plexiglas overlays will make using magnets
impossible. One of the main reasons are boards are so popular is
that they take all types of magnets from magnetic business cards to
complete overlays.
7. We offer a our COAF
interchangeable board at no additional initial cost. In the future
it can have the graphics updated and made dry erase at a minimal
cost.
8. Cleaning - Does the glass or Plexiglas or standoff system create
an unsanitary area that will be unacceptable to disease control.
